WAYS TO REDUCE YOUR RIDING AGE

If age really is just a number why does a rider start to feel it in the saddle? No one wants to get older and most of all no one wants to feel it. However, there are some things you can do to help reduce your riding age, or rather how you feel and how you ride.

Here are the top 12 things that you can do.

1. Reduce your weight to where it should be. Obesity increases cancer, diabetes and heart disease. But don’t go too far underweight or you may suffer from sickness or osteoporosis.

2. Cap alcoholic drinks to no more than 1 a day. Try infused water instead!

3. Reduce your stress, do yoga, pray, meditate and learn to relax.

4. Increase your learning, and keep your mind sharp.

5 .Keep your human connections positive, meaningful and intimate, helping reduce stress, depression, blood pressure and increase immunity.

6. Lend a hand, as giving and volunteering are good for the soul. Remember to pay it forward.

7. Exercise and do a cardio at least 3 times a week and strength building at least twice a week.

8. Get enough protein every day and it is best if plant based to help keep your body running clean and efficient. Try a Mediterranean diet of fruits, vegetable, fish and whole grains, refraining from simple carbs (like pasta and sugar).

9. Do not smoke, or likewise.

10. Enjoy a cup of coffee every day. Studies show it helps fight diabetes, cirrhosis, and liver cancer.

11. Be sure to get 8 hours of sleep, which will help your cells, metabolism, fight inflammation and increase immunity.

12. Know your ancestral history of health so you can deal with problems even before they arise.
