TIPS FOR STAYING COOL

Don't sweat it! Easier said then done when its four hundred degrees outside. Here's what you can do to stay cool.

Tips for staying cool:
  1. Dip you cap or helmet liner in cool water. It will help keep your head cool and your thoughts clear on a super hot day in the sun.
  2. Eat watermelon! It’s healthy with antioxidants and full of water.
  3. Put a fresh lemon slice in your water bottle. It helps with make water more appealing, quenches your thirst.
  4. If you bath your horse in cool water, be sure to whisk him off. The drying process will help cool him, but not if it stays on thick and wet. Keep him in the shade and give him water.
  5. Wear clothes made from fabric that breathes easily. Don’t forget your horse, untack him as much as possible in between rides at an event.
