7 Ways to Believe in Yourself
Believing in yourself is not magical. It is a head game. It stems from the deepest roots of your self conscious to literally promote your self to becoming the thing your are projecting. So if you are aiming high, and importantly, if you work towards it, you have the greatest percent chance of becoming it.
Still you may be wondering the famous question. How do you go about such a magical thing?
1. Set a healthy routine for yourself.
Eat right, sleep well, and set your riding days in a healthy, constructive pattern. Staying on track is half the battle. You have to take care of yourself before you can take care of your horse well. Always remember it.
2. Set it up for success.
This means that you need to find the right coach and the right supporters who will be positive in their actions and words around you. It may even mean that you need the right veterinarian, the right farrier. Whatever this means for you, you need to set it up that way.
3. Learn!
Not only do you need the right coach, but you need to be open to learning. You need to listen to your coach, question your coach, and you also need to broaden your learning with other resource materials and coaches. Feed your mind.
4. Don't give in to fear or defeat.
These two often go hand in hand. If you are afraid of doing something, work on overcoming it. If you believe that you cannot do it, then you will not be able to do it. It's psychological. Tell yourself, "I can do this!"
5. Set the goal.
While it is good to be realistic, you need to dream and be happy. Start with small goals, and when you achieve them keep aiming higher until you have reached your dream goal.
6. Practice self-compassion.
While it is wonderful to aim high, not all of us can get there on the first try. If you fail, just try again. Reassess and carry on. Mistakes are human.
7. Live with intent.
By this one only has to focus on the goal and work towards it, not getting sidetracked. Of course, this should not be one's whole life. The best mind is one that also has other enjoyments to encourage success and not be completely defeated when mistakes happen. However, one needs to actively work towards the goal in order to make it happen. Stay away from self-sabotage, be positive, and make it happen!
In the end, while everyone is rooting for you, make sure it is your goal, your dream, your desire, and that it makes you happy so that it is easier to believe in yourself!
