your horse remembers

Horses are amazing, intuitive animals deserving of a higher respect. They have a deeper understanding than some other animals. They remember more. Like what?

Well they can easily remember other people, horses, and other animals. They can remember good things and bad things about them. It can affect their behavior.

They can definitely remember places. Sometimes they may not be as calm somewhere if they remember something bad or spooky there before.

They can remember smells. This is evident to see if you are bringing out something that smells terrible, like medicine or muscle liniment. But they can remember good smells too, your smell, the dog, another horse.

They can even remember sounds, including words. If you rang a dinner bell before feeding. It would not take many feedings before just the sound of the bell would get them to come running in from the pasture!

This is just a tip of the iceberg. If you want to learn more study Rider 1, Sociology. They horse is far too complex to sum up into a one page program. That's because they are simply amazing.
