Help Your HOrse Live Longer

Much the same as humans, the life expectancy in horses ranging from genetics with hereditary traits and conditions to how well they are cared for in life. Their health and wellness affect the outcome. Improved medical treatment and understanding of care and nutrition also play a giant role. It also varies from breed to breed.

Horses used to live around 18-22 years, however that number has jumped up to 25-30 years. Generally, smaller breeds or ponies can live much longer.
Remember that there are exceptions to every rule.

While there are somethings you cannot control, there are some things you can do to help your horse live longer.
